Bothered About U.S. Abuse of Iraqi Prisoners?
There's Something Much Worse Than That!

"The America I know is a compassionate country
that believes in freedom. The America I know
cares about every individual."

[President Bush responding to reports of
abuses of Iraqi prisoners -- May 5, 2004.]

Some details of the alleged abuses:

"Prisoners were punched, slapped and kicked. In some cases, soldiers jumped on their naked feet. Male and female detainees were left naked for days at a time. Some were videotaped and photographed, an especially degrading experience for Muslims who regard being photographed as a sin. Some were forcibly arranged in various sexually explicit positions for the photographs. Naked male prisoners were forced to wear women's underwear. Others were forced to perform sexual acts upon themselves while being photographed. One naked prisoner was forced to stand on a box with a sandbag on his head. Wires were attached to his fingers, toes and penis to simulate electric torture. A male military police guard had sex with a female prisoner."

As Riley (of the old, old radio series, "Life with Riley") would say, "What a revoltin' development this is!" Massive finger pointing is under way with President Bush setting the prime example as Secretary Rumsfeld is hauled over the coals, and of course it follows that Mr. Secretary will do likewise -- big question is, how far up the chain of command will this go -- there will be a wild scramble to hang the people at the bottom of the totem pole, but when they "followed orders," just who was giving the orders?

But enough of that -- all kind of outrage is being expressed, investigations being launched, and heads will definitely roll!

Now it's time for a very disturbing question -- are you ready? Why all this indignation over the abuse of Iraqi prisoners when what we have going here within the borders of the "land of the free and the home of the brave" makes that stuff look like pre-school play time by way of comparison! Think I'm exaggerating? Well, how about a nice long sober look at the evidence pictured below -- Iraqi prison pics are mild compared to this!

Now some parting questions for President Bush --

Mr. President, when you say "The America I know is a compassionate country that believes in freedom. The America I know cares about every individual.", why do you not include persons such as the above pictured victims? They are persons, are they not -- at least according to the God that you refer to from time to time when you use the phrase, "God bless America." This God states that He knows each of us and has a plan for us even before we were conceived in our mother's wombs. Do you really believe this God is going to overlook the wanton destruction of millions of unborn children within the boundaries of the United States -- our unique "holocaust" which makes the abuse of Iraqi prisoners of war appear very minor by way of comparison? And how can you say that America cares about EVERY individual? Take a close look at how America has "cared" for some individuals whose pictures are posted above! And just how is it that "compassion" has been shown to them?
