Hello there! Now don't get upset -- I admit that I do not have the same appearance as you earthlings, but be assured that I come in peace and have no intention of abducting you or doing any harm. I have been visiting one of your classmates from the Clarion High School Class of '50 at his web site, Circuit Rider's Range, for some time. If you want to get to know me better, you can find out more about me at Meet Alvin. You see, that is my name -- Alvin. Some refer to me as Alvin the Alien! I come from a place very far away which is much different from your earth, and I have made some comments about all this at various locations. The itinerary and location of my comments are found at Meet Alvin. Maybe you will want to take time in the future to see how different my world is from yours![]()
Now I know you have a question -- what's he doing here? You see my space vehicle has a time travel feature in it, plus a lot of other interesting things that your primitive aircraft and space shuttles don't have. So I offered to help "Tex" -- uh, Clayton D. Harriger -- out with this project of enabling you to travel back in time to those adventurous days when you attended Clarion High School and graduated in 1950!
But first, some instructions you need in order to do this -- yes, as it is with a lot of situations, there are certain conditions that must be met in order to make the trip, and here they are:
- you will travel through portions of Clayton "Tex" Harriger's yearbook, including autographs, some of which are now a bit of an embarrassment for him to remember -- no, there is no profanity or anything like that! It's just the references to certain "happenings" that cause the "red face!"
- it will be in .pdf format which means certain things:
- if you do not already have it, it will be necessary for you to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader for these files -- it can be downloaded at no cost by going to:
Click on the banner- make sure you scroll down the page to "Adobe Acrobat 4.05 Reader with Search: English Versions" -- most will be using the first one listed for Windows 95, 98 etc. Macintosh versions also available.
- there will be some download time involved in viewing the files, so they will be kept in shorter sections -- if the whole yearbook was placed in one file, you would be celebrating the 100th class reunion before you got the thing downloaded

- if you desire, the file can be saved on your hard drive, or to a large capacity removable disk such as a ZIP disk. "Tex" is making it a practice to save a lot of text & image files to ZIP disks. When he gets a CD Read/Write drive (dream, dream, dream!) he'll start saving on those, each of which has a capacity of over 600 MB's!
OK, now you are ready to climb aboard, and travel back to the 1950 era -- just click on:

NOTE: Some pages will show spotty areas that did not scan properly -- the scanner did not or could not always make the adjustments for changes in shading, and the autographs which were written on photos and/or printed text. It also tries to adjust for the yellowing of the pages due to aging -- is that why "Tex" is constantly looking in the mirror to see if he is "yellowing" due to aging?
Questions and/or comments about this web site, especially how this character, Alvin, got involved, contact C. D. "Tex" Harriger by clicking on Penelope, his mail room hostess, who is employed at Circuit Rider's Range and she will faithfully see that the message is delivered![]()
